Vision Inspection Systems

First up are vision inspection systems, also known as machine vision. These systems are the eyes of the packaging line. This fascinating packaging inspection technology checks seal integrity by using infrared imaging to spot heat patterns that signal a weak or incomplete seal. It's a non-contact method, especially handy for heat-sealed packages where even a tiny leak can be a big problem.

And because it catches issues invisible to the naked eye, it's essential for protecting quality in sensitive applications.

Checkweighers

Finally, checkweighers make sure every package hits the right weight before it ships. While they're often used for weighing cases, they work across many package types — catching underfilled products that trigger customer complaints, and overfilled ones that quietly drive up costs. Many models reject out-of-spec items automatically and feed weight data into larger systems, so operators can track trends over time.
