The K2 utilizes a brake on the unwind while the K3 is motorized. The machine has three tension zones, allowing for a dedicated tension zone for the forming section for better lay flat control. Sealstrip provides easy open and resealable features and retrofit applicators for flexible packaging. Zipper and reclosure applicators from Sealstrip include the FreshPak® applicator, which mounts at the film unwind area of a wrapper, slits the film in the film-flow direction and applies the FreshPak tape over the slit. The mounting is custom designed to fit each individual wrapper. The FreshPak applicator utilizes a smooth simple rotary unwind adding package efficiency, durability, and consistency to the production line.
