Körber’s HFFS450 is a horizontal form/fill/seal technology designed for quick changeover of flexible and rigid blister packs in medical and pharmaceutical packaging. Körber says the machine can be “individually adapted to future format changes, re-tools and web width changes.” Other thermoforming machines for blisters include the BE4, ideal for applications with small batch sizes, many format changes or that use a wide variety of packaging materials. Featuring a two-lane design, it is designed to have a small footprint, and is modular in that it can be upgraded to a high-speed solution at any time.
