AC Horn Manufacturing is a single-source supplier for an integrated, complete automated processing line for nut butter. The company can supply all equipment, including roasters, blanchers, grinding mills, ingredient feeders, conveyors and packaging systems. AC Horn designs an integrated control system, in addition to providing complete drawing sets and managing the project so that it is finished on time and meets the customer’s specifications. Company has designed, installed and commissioned turnkey systems for nut butter ranging from 500- to 20,000 lb/hour operations.

AC Horn Manufacturing offers a wide range of food processing equipment including roasters and dryers, blanchers, granulators, coaters and seasoning equipment, with a focus on snack foods, nut and seed processing. Batch roasters, designed for nut processing companies seeking a low-cost, high-quality solution, ensure uniform roasting for maximum flavor development. AC Horn’s granulator is designed to granulate any and all nut varieties, forming defined, sharp-edged granules with minimum production of fine product instead of crushing the product. The M320 cooker/coater for caramel corn, peanut brittle and kettle corn features a uniquely engineered single-process design whereby operators preprogram temperature set points. Once the proper temperature is achieved, an alarm activates signaling the time to add the necessary ingredients. Company also designs entire lines for nut butter processing.

Conveyors

AC Horn makes collating conveyors, pack-off conveyors, and pack-off tables. The single lane collator accepts bags from the packaging machine, gently conveying them into a collating conveyor. The collator then aligns the bags for easy packing. The collator can also count and group the bags to the customer’s case configuration. AC Horn’s Smart Pak conveyor gently conveys bags from the packaging machine to the pack-off table or individual case. The loose pack adaptation allows the packer to easily convert to the flipper option, which automatically counts and distributes bags at speeds up to 140 bags per minute.
