AirWave Packaging Inc. supplies air cushioning materials for protective packaging used in e-commerce, direct-to-consumer (D2C) packaging, and beyond. Air cushions are made of 99% air and made of "only one percent recyclable film and therefore particularly environmentally friendly," reports co. When used in conjunction with AirWave’s air packaging machines, packagers can produce wide and narrow air cushion wrapper on demand. Select from various materials such as home-compostable, thin materials, ESD (antistatic), heavy duty for robust and air cargo applications, and standard allround films. In addition, AirWave PaperWave air cushions are a compostable solution that safely protects goods while offering an environmentally sustainable protection option and delivering a clear statement on sustainability. The air-cushion material is made of 100% recycled paper is powerful and ecologically advantageous. The compostable sealing layer is ultra-thin and therefore does not negatively influence any aspect of recycling, co. reports.

Air cushion machines produce the required transport protection on-demand, using space-efficient film rolls. AirWave1 supplies up to 4 workstations with reliable air cushions and can be seamlessly integrated into the workplace. The AirWave 1 can run plastic air cushion films, PlantWave compostable films, Paperwave recyclable paper, and other materials. AirWave also supplies the AirWave 2, called “the most flexible and user-friendly premium model,” AirBoy nano4, marketed by co. as “the fastest small air cushioning machine,” and other models, accessories and spare parts.
