PLALOC™ is a zipper tape providing economic efficiency and functionality to meet consumer needs for resealable packaging, as PLALOC allows the consumer to easily reseal the package after each use. The patented POCKETZIP™ is a front panel zipper technology designed for a new style of pouches featuring an easy open tab that is pulled off to open the package without the need for scissors. In addition Idemitsu Unitech offers polyolefin composite, multi-layer, and biaxially-oriented nylon films.

MULTILAY food containers are designed to meet today's more demanding requirements, such as keeping fresh food truly fresh, preserving food with low salt or sugar content, and the challenges of food distribution at ambient temperature intended to reduce energy costs. MULTILAY is suitable for controlled-atmosphere and oxygen-free packaging with oxygen absorber, as well as for sterilized packaging, high-temperature filled packaging, and boil/retort sterilized packaging.

Closure materials from Idemitsu include PURE THERMO™ highly transparent, easily thermoformable polypropylene (PP) sheet. Widely used for food packages, lids and medical packages, PURE THERMO features a high rigidity grade/High O2 barrier grade. PURETHERMO maintains its high crystallinity and fine structure with a comparable rigidity of general PP. While microwaving sometimes causes package deformation, especially if the package contains oily foods, PURETHERMO demonstrates heat resistance and good structural performance after microwaving.
